9/25/20 Acid Tetris (1998)

Acid Tetris AKA Super ACiD Block Attack (1998) developed and published by Dungeon Dwellers Design. There have been many, many different versions of Tetris, but I don’t think I’ve played one that did basically nothing with the formula, yet was still so… memorable? It’s just Tetris, really. Controls are a little slippery, you can rotate the block right or left, and for some reason you have to hit down once it’s fallen before the next block appears. For some reason, despite running on DOSBox, I ran into some weird problems with the speed of the music that slowed down and distorted everything. Really, I checked online and the normal songs sound fine, but my playtime was marked by an uncanny, desolate feeling that rivals most horror games. If you decide to play this as opposed to any other version of Tetris, maybe you’ll run into the same odd issue, or maybe my version is just cursed and I’ll die in seven days.
